Here you will find things to help you become an animator, or if you already are one, help your work go smoother!
Getting Started
What should you do first to become an animator? It's up to you! I'd suggest getting a grasp of solid drawing skills. Once you can draw coherently, begin messing around with old-fashioned flip book animations. Here are some basic projects to see if you can animate on a beginner level:

- A Ball bouncing that squashes and stretches
- A Flour Sack acting like a character
- Something with a tail
- Something with a dress
- Something that turns 360 degrees
- Something that conveys emotion without having a face
- Something rotoscoped or drawn from life footage
- Something exaggerated
- Something with appeal
- Something that zooms in or out
- Something that has a drastic change from one state to another (facial expression)
- Something that walks and swings its arms

Useful Programs:
- Photoshop CS5 or higher (Great for pixel animation, good for importing image sequences, and good for digital animation)
- ToonBoom (Designed for imported image sequence, and compiling them)
- Quicktime Pro (Pro allows you to compile image sequences and Quicktime lets you veiw an animation frame by frame)
